Linky Love

I saw this little quiz over at Julie’s Journal so of course I had to take it too. Here are my results. Not a surprise there, I’m a purist because I totally hate ads on my blog. Every once in a while I get a wild hair and put up some ads but they annoy me so much I eventually remove them.

I got a MINUS 3 for sociability and it is so true! Haha, not much I can say about that.

For example, I was surfing around and ran across Blogging for Bitter Women. The linked article started out humorous but by the time I finished reading I was giggling out loud. Warning: if the correct words for certain parts of the body that everyone has (but some people take exception to) offend you don’t click the link. haha!

That’s just one article on the blog, I enjoyed other posts and have added it to my feed reader for my midnight readings. A girl has to have a hobby!

So I did a review on my geek blog for Loretta of Gadget Girl Accessories and I like her blog so much I think I’ll write about it here too.

I just read her entry titled Not your average heart shaped necklace and for some reason it made me chuckle. If that isn’t the perfect gift for the geek girl in your life then I don’t know what is.

I visit this blog a lot but I can see that I need to put Gadget Girl Accessories into my feed reader because I was just there and noticed that I missed out on a contest! Darn. I’m loading up my Google Reader right now - I’m not going to miss out on the latest gadgets anymore!

Here is another contest that anyone with a blog can enter. Crissy over at Dear Crissy is having a contest to win $50.00. The contest will run through August 31st when Crissy will draw the winner from all the participating bloggers.

The rules are simple. All you have to do is write about the contest using at least 50 words and provide two link-backs - one to the domain and one to the contest post itself. I love easy contests and it doesn’t get any easier than this. Wish me luck folks, I can use an extra $50.00.

A what kind of purse? I’ve never heard of 7 Loaves purses but I suppose that’s the point of the contest, eh?

Catchy name for a blog, eh?

I’m not vegetarian. Matter of fact, I am far, far from it. I was poking around the Do-Follow Blogroll a little earlier and ran across The Raw and the Cooked, a blog written by a whole food vegan. I’ve heard of being a vegan but I’m not really sure what the “whole food” part means.

I’ll never be a vegetarian but the recipes on this blog look really scrumptious and are putting me in a frame of mind to get back on track with a healthier diet. I’ve put lots of fruits and vegetables on my grocery list. Can’t wait to make some of the smoothies and shakes. yum yum
