Another recipe from good ol’ Betty Crocker. I found this recipe in the Betty Crocker Bisquick cookbook. I used lots of onion and added some extra cheese. It turned out really well if I do say so myself. This is my husband’s plate. I grabbed it from his hands and said “wait! I want to take a picture of that!”
1 pound ground beef
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 cup Original Bisquick
1 cup milk
2 eggs1. HEAT oven to 400 degrees. Grease pie plate, 9×1 1/4 inches. Cook beef and onion in 10-inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown, drain. Spread in pie plate.
2. STIR remaining ingredients until blended. Pour into pie plate.
3. BAKE about 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Makes 6 servings.
High Altitude (3500 to 6500 feet): Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
That look s very tasty
I like that it includes high-altitude instructions for us mountain dwellers
The only thing I’d change is maybe some more interesting cheese in with the cheddar on the top.
Seriously though, I just love sharp cheddar - the sharper the better…
I never did give you that Chicken Pot Pie recipe… (also from Betty Crocker’s Bisquick cookbook)…
The next time I make it I’ll try to remember to write it up…
You’re always making me hungry. We do an easy cheese casserole from a recipe on the kraft deluxe mac & cheese box. I love simple, homey food.
i get now very hungry
