Western Culinary on Myspace

I’m not kidding. I just ran across Western Culinary on Myspace. So now I guess I’ve seen everything - a Cordon Bleu Program with their own Myspace page.

Not only do they have a Myspace page but I can say with some authority that it is one of the nicest Myspace pages I’ve seen in a long, long time. I honestly enjoyed looking around at the page and you can’t say that about many Myspace pages.

They have the beginnings of a blog going on but so far I only see one recipe listed. Not Your Mama’s Meatloaf is made with Stovetop Stuffing, ground beef and Italian sausage and it looks delicious. I’m going to have to try that recipe. I hope they put up some more recipes too! Of course if they did that nobody would have to go to school. *grin*

Wow that’s strange that they’d choose to great a Myspace page. I wonder if they get many visitors? It is a fairly nice looking Myspace page as myspace pages go. They’d probably do better to get themselves a real blog though as they’d be able to do a lot more things with it.

Happy Friday the 13th!

That’s hilarious, and I’m not at all surprised. Social networks are just starting to be used for marketing purposed. Once more people get savvy this will only increase. FYI, the text size in your submit comment form is REALLY tiny, you might want to increase it on your stylesheet.

I can’t figure out how to change the font in this text box - I tried!

I’m thinking one of my comment plugins made it do this but I don’t know which one.

Here is my style sheet: http://heckofit.net/style.css

If you have an idea of the area that needs to be changed I’d be most appreciative.

A frind of mine in NYC who is a DJ/VJ says MySpace is just about the hottest promotion tool on the net for businesses, so it does not shock me that they have a page. Now, the Stovetop, that shocks me. It’s so salty!

I bet that recipe is good though… I’m really going to try it… my husband loves meatloaf…

Sometimes I make it with a package of Lipton onion soup mix and breadcrumbs, now that’s salty!

Hi Bella, I liked the sound of that meatloaf recipe but had no clue as to what ‘Stovetop Stuffing’ was so I looked it up on doctor google and this is what I found as an Aussie entry on the USA Foods dot com dot au website;

NEW!!! JELLO AND STOVE TOP STUFFING MIXES: These products are no longer available. We can’t prove that the beef and pig that is used in Jello doesn’t contain BSE. We also can’t bring in Stove Top Stuffing Mixes because they contain less then 2% chicken and chicken broth. Both are quarantine rulings. Any complaints can be directed to AQIS on 8313 6902.
UPDATE: we have found a stuffing that does not contain any meat or chicken - it should be in store soon.

Reckon I should give it a go with the one with no actual chook in it or does ’stovetop stuffing’ need to be the real thing?

btw, can’t you make your pic bigger so I can see you? But then again I bet I’ve missed the point lol

I’ve been wondering where you were…

I don’t understand what the “less than 2%” has to do with it… there really isn’t supposed to be very much meat or broth in it… it’s just bread and seasonings and stuff that you add water and butter or margarine to… You people must not be as lazy as us fat ass Americans… surely there is something similar to Stovetop Stuffing over there… it’s just stuffing made in a pan on the stove instead of stuffed up a chook’s ass… hehe, I said “chook”… I wonder just how that is pronounced…

It took me a long time to get that pic exactly the way I wanted it, hehe… you can always try to enlarge it… :p

P.S. There is pig and cow in Jello????????

I’m around but busy and distracted…but happily food talk distracts me from being distracted and..ah, I’ll just shut up I think…

The less than 2% statement (I think) is the websites’ sarcasm as in ‘There is less than 2% so why ban it?’

I think that the pig and cow in jello is the hooves - they use it to make gelatine? Wow, don’t you feel like eating jelly now? Not.

See ya Anna.

p.s make a ‘oo’ ‘oo’ sound like a monkey and that’s how you say chook lol

Yeah, I knew there were hooves in Jello, hehe…

You can your own stuff you know… Don’t you ever stuff a chicken or turky over there?

This is the best recipe I’ve found so far, but I’m still looking around for others… I believe I’d cut this one in half to use for the meatloaf recipe… of course you wouldn’t bake it but use it for the meatloaf recipe instead…

Traditional Stuffing

Here’s a recipe to give you an idea of the spices that are sometimes used…
