I’ve lurked on your site before and am finally speaking up! Anyway, I use ‘Web Urbanist’ as my handle (and it is also my blog name). My blog is a 100% advertising and revenue-free - I run it for myself and for my readers. I wonder, though, if using this handle doesn’t throw people. Anywho, any thoughts?

Nicuser, did you know that if you put two URL’s in your comment text that Akismet will automatically send your comment to the spam folder on a good portion of the blogs in the world? That’s because more than one link is considered spam. I consider it inappropriate to leave a comment on a personal blog with shameless self promotion links in it, but that’s just me.

I bet you’re going around to every blog on the list leaving comments so you can get a link back to your blog so you can increase your Google PR. Shame on you. Oh, that’s right, you’re shameless, rofl…

Thanks Anna, I didn’t know that because I don’t use that plugin…

As for the other part, I don’t agree with you because:
- My comment wasn’t out of the topic just to promote my site;
- I keep the Do Follow List updated on my site and I check the sites to see if they really deserve to be there;
- You have a link on my site just because you joined the Do Follow Movement and I found you on a previous list;
- I intend to write a script which will calculate the listed sites’ rank so that the better ones will be listed first;

For all these, I think that it’s only fair to have a little something in return. And since few people take the time to check their incoming links, I’m posting a comment to let them know about what I’m doing.

Don’t you worry, I’m not going to post on all your post just to increase my google PR…

I don’t know about other people but it looks like spam to me… I won’t strip this URL although I will strip the ones where people don’t use a name from now on… this isn’t a FFA links page ya know…
