I have good news about my pump, yay.
The only thing that was wrong with it is there were ants gumming it up. Seems a nest of ants was looking for a dry place and they were attracted by the electricity of the motor. After a few squirts of my wasp spray (couldn’t find the ant spray) and $75.00 the repairman had my pump working again.
Seventy five dollars seems like a lot for 5 minutes of work but I guess it is better than buying a new pump or drilling a well. I’m glad the guy was honest - he could have said anything and charged for a lot more than a service call. Whew.
I have to say that might be the best blog post title ever.
freakin ants… gross gross! When I uncovered the central air unit last month there was a huge nest of ants building an entire city up the site of the unit. I anihilated them much to the delight of the robins and cardinals that frequent my yard
We used to have well water or had to haul our own water in Wyoming…. nothing worse than being without water. Well okay maybe not have AC in July/August is worse
