Be careful what you wish for…

I really, really didn’t want to take the Old Lady to the doctor and dentist today. Of course, I really, really don’t want to go anywhere any other day either but that’s a different topic.

My husband woke me up this morning at 7:45am and said “I hate to tell you this but the well is out again.”

So I reckon I have the option of going to his mother’s house to shower but you know what? I don’t freaking want to do that and I’m not going to do it. I called her at 8:30 to tell her I won’t be able to take her. She was pretty good about it because she really wasn’t up to it herself. She will be rescheduling her dental appointment and I can take her to the doctor tomorrow.

So I got my wish - I don’t have to go out today. I’m wondering if the well will fix itself if I wish it. *wish wish*. :( Nope, still no water. dang. The pump/well guy should be out sometime this afternoon. I hope it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Ooh, no well is not good! Ours went out a couple weeks ago - and with all the rain here lately, we knew it wasn’t dry, so were really worried it was the in-ground pump. That would have been expensive! Fortunately, it was just something in the electrical box in the cellar that turns the pump on - a half-hour DIY fix that cost less than fifty dollars. Some water-related angel was on duty that day! So, fingers crossed that your problem won’t be a big costly one… because Bathing Is Good! ;-)

I’m afraid it might be the in-ground pump also. :(

This happened a few months ago and it was something simple to fix, I sure hope it is something simple again today…

You don’t really appreciate the value of a steady water supply until you haven’t been able to flush for 24 hours… (City people have no idea what we’re talking about!) Keep us posted…
