I picked Lilly up from the Old Lady’s house this morning at 8:00 am and took her to the rescue center’s clinic to be spayed and micro-chipped. Both are included in the $60.00 adoption fee which I think is a terrific deal. It would have cost over double that amount to have both procedures done in my usual vet’s office.
When I picked her up from the clinic at 3pm after her surgery I found out that the shipment of chips didn’t arrive in time and that I would have to take her back YET again next week to have the chip inserted. arrgh!
I felt so sorry for the little girl. I’m sure she is experiencing a lot of discomfort due to her surgery as well as her swollen, um, do you call them breasts on a cat? I guess you’d call them teats. At any rate she was removed from her kittens this past Saturday and she is very swollen and must have been very uncomfortable even before she was cut open. My heart goes out to her. I think I’m too overprotective of this cat that doesn’t even belong to me (yet) but I can’t help it. I already love her as if she were my own.
awww… she’s a beautiful kitty!
Hey, I like the name of your website, hehe, it’s cool…
I am all about adopting pets. I had no idea that those things were included though. I must be living in the wrong state. But what is the deal with the micro chip? Are they tracking stray animals now?
it is a pretty cat though. I wish I was not allergic, I am personally a dog person because of that reason.
The micro-chip is used to register the pet in a national database in case the pet ever gets lost… the important thing is to remember to send in the information… I heard somewhere that several animals rescued from hurricane Katrina were chipped but there was no info in the database… duh!
Aww, it’s a cute cat too! I have a fluffy white cat like that one too. I love her to death but she lives with my parents. I miss her so much sometimes. I remember when i was sick she used to come next to me and curl up and sleep with me. It always made me feel better.
